The Beast

a carnival of hordes in withering grass

the high priestess tongues the beast

wet mandible
on a dragging death gowned doll
like a cyclone coils paradise

trans mutative

prismatic unfurling's
passed bones of confusion

passed scorched refuse
of radiating spiraled phantoms

the more gods, the more demons
battle angel symmetries
in Taoist jaws

galactic lurking's
into parametric infinities
escalating war like cloud light
rush glittering arms of affliction

Why Duty Free...

Why Duty Free…

Gave me a flag, uniform, then a gun,
said a soldier’s life was to fight or die.
Drilled me to march, salute, attention,
but never answered, when I asked why.

Why do we need to kill each other,
surely not just for land, oil or gold.
Become uncivil, even to a brother,
Take another’s life before it’s old.

Why do we need a bigger bomb,
produce poisons we must never use.
If we turn the planet into a tomb,
who’ll be around to hear our news.

The Wanderer

In an old coat with dishevelled hair
He ran across the road
On his shoulder he carried a bag with all he had
He had no money of his own
He wandered from town to town
In search of food
The wanderer

Cunt Spill

a future promise
a hard on like bundled gym socks
in stuffed blue jeans

a future threat
a shriveled phallus wrinkled obsolete

I never realized he was
till he was
but only when he wasn't

Magic Night

Cool dark pools sparkle with starlight.
Fairies come out to dance in the night.
Their gossimer gowns shimmer like rain
And they sing a lively, haunting refrain.
Elves play tag and hide-and-seek
As bashful gnomes from dark caves peek.
The scene is gay, yet quiet somehow
When the secret sleep people appear now.
They move with grace through meadow and lane,
Where once, in the daylight, all seemed so plain.
The beauty was there for all to see,
And now we behold it, just thee and me.

The Little One

He walks and runs and teeters sometimes,
He laughs and babbles and occasionally whines.
With solomn look he labors to lift
An oversized toy that's often soon left
For the prize of a cookie or a big blue ball
Or a medium sized dog or a mommy's call.
He crawls and climbs under tables and chairs,
Over cars and blocks and up the stairs.
Forever moving 'til sleep takes hold
Of our beautiful, funny one year old.
Mama takes him and handles with care,
The boy we love, the boy so fair.

Friendship and Love

To grow in love is hard sometimes
When you keep your things and I keep mine.
We say hello and occasionally talk,
But we never go for a long summer's walk.
We care for each other in what we say
And show our love in our own special way.
Growing in love though is more than this,
It's more than a handshake, it's more than a kiss.
Somehow it's a sharing of thoughts and desires,
It's something true friendship really requires.
We reach for each other and share little things,

A Relationship

I can't, I can't my soul cries out
And yet somehow I can and do
Because I care for you so much
Oh, if you only knew.
My life, my days and nights trudge by
As in some miserable dream.
The walls close in and people fade.
We aren't what we seem.
Friends and neighbors envy us
For what we have today
But what we lack was ours for free
So long ago and far away.
We started with so little, yet had so very much
To share alone together in a quiet loving time.
