MEMORABLE AUTUMN...( OCTOBER CONTEST

Autumn plans reversed out of reach
away from the heat of sandy beach
My desire travels to a cold and hard city
Snow in great Canada, oh what a pity!

Imagine cuddling is fun so cozy
blushing beneath covers feeling rosy
wishing a third would pop up soon
with a face like a silvery blue moon

perhaps we could park in Banana city
we'd be alone mindless of nitty gritty
recalling kids desired another sibling
a lovely one ,wow you are now dribbling

Barren Leaves Coast To Cleave I

shallow..
shallow peak
hesitant on a kiss
hero in the mist
chase back the fever with a smile
still to know all the great while
love was king
chase

A moment of patience in a moment of anger,
Saves you a hundred moments of regret...
sharpen you pen even flow begin..
loves lost opinion,
cheer up my friend

MODERN FREE STYLE POETS WELCOME by lovedly me

When I came to this site
'twas mostly Western Style only
recalling as most do still
past poets turning in their graves
impatiently

I found quatrains boring
posted many
edited by Aussies best poets

But then I forced my way
like does a river
had to meander
now i am so happy
to see
after composing for decades
in freestyle
each poem has a virginuous
congregation

Your Turn

I prefer the shadows these days.
Brightness and "clarity" only blinds the fickle.
This darkness becomes me.

For I know what it feels like to be fire,
to be the element.
I was so tired
of wearing that jaggedely twisted unclean smile.

These traitorous painted lips smile at any excuse,
sometimes never refusing to stop.
Only a Jester's sinister grin
came close to being just as terrifying.

Mr. Unpresident

They call him Mr. President.
A title so dignifying
For office so high,
And anyone who occupies it must be dignifying
And high also.

So it had been, in years before,
The title its dignity sustained,
The bearers so fitting, their demeanors so dainty;
In esteem higher than their names held them the office.

The roads they trod love overlaid,
The rays of their eyes compassion sparked,
The words from their mouths calming as friendly breeze,
And the air they exhaled, peace tinged
Like blood and water.

MY HEART

My heart is a dungeon
Found in my chest.
If you look closely,
You will surely find prisoners.

My heart is a seal
Locked with different locks.
If you want to get into it,
You must pass through a lot of traps.

Decaffeinated rainbows

Bring us words - witty, wise or wistful
Written with all of their potential
Make sense of life's distorted mirror
To unlock our deepest emotional stirrings
Write with all of your potential

Share your words - wrapped in plastic, paper or silk
Extract understanding, pain and happiness
As you touch the deepest pit, your wildest j*oy
Help us distill each drop of emotion
Bitter, sweet or salty combinations on the tongue then
Project films - romance to noir from amidst your potential

Early Autumn

I’m a curiosity to the squirrels and sparrows
Who live alongside the gazebo where I sit.
They too have chosen it for the view of the inlet.
It’s the time of year the geese float on currents of air
Breaking the silence with loud honking
Of a motorcade zigzagging on a highway.
Suddenly I join in, a flugelhorn out of key
Shouting with the squadron as they take their leave.

HE-DINOSAURS

Dear woman, notice you the dinosaur?
Like fire-belching dragon he is no more.
And curiosity buffs still hunt their bones
That had hid in deep earth and beneath stones.
After them still live their he-dinosaurs,
Whose scarred footprints scourge your weaker landscape
With rape and beatings that beset our shores,
And they will nature’s next selection scrape.
But he-dinosaurs are yet on the run,
Nor must we wait till nature’s course is done,
But hoist the law where’re their cleaved hooves tread,
