What Wasn’t Said

He built his image on the sand of celebrity,
a castle where all could admire and praise.
But he turned it into a circus for freaks,
and they paid him with their belief.
He promised answers, they heard salvation,
when all he did was make them defenceless.

About This Poem

Last Few Words: I wrote this as a response to the global pattern of political performance where celebrity eclipses accountability. The UK had Boris Johnson, fat womaniser and the US has Trump, fat womaniser. Both were/are in it for themselves and not the good of their country or its people.

Thank you for this.
