Unrequited
Let me gather my thoughts...
they drift around me like
fallen leaves before the rain,
like flyaway cottonwood
stirred by my wandering feet.
I scatter each thought of you
with every bewildered step.
Let me gather my thoughts...
You are in my sunlight.
You are in my silence.
You are in my music,
my poetry,
my rain.
If there could ever be a day
with no thought of you,
I would somehow
miss you still.

Yeah
I love it. It’s so inviting. No corrections or suggestions, I just love it.

Absolutely...
How I wish that I had written this! It says everything that one might say to the love of their life. Not a single word out of place.

Hello, Geezer,
I find that love is the hardest subject to write about. I'm glad you like this!
Thank you!

Love is hardly...
hard to write about when writing from the mind of a poet such as yourself, who uses the pen as a conduit for emotions buried
and hidden. ~ Geez.
