Tempora fugis
Time represents the false fetters that chain the breath, that gentle breeze
that you exhale, that watches.
The Spirit or the Lord.
Thus we have lost the gates of eternity, bleating in a mere clock.

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet’s AI:
The poem's central image — breath as something that "watches" — carries genuine strangeness and potential. That personification creates a flicker of the uncanny that suits the theme of time and spirit.
The piece struggles, though, with abstraction crowding out sensation. Phrases like "false fetters," "gates of eternity," and "the Spirit or the Lord" arrive as large concepts rather than earned arrivals, and so the emotional weight they aim for remains stated rather than felt. The final line's verb "bleating" is vivid and unexpected in a promising way, but it is attached to "a mere clock," which deflates the surprise with a familiar complaint. One actionable direction: let the breath image from the opening do more of the philosophical work, following it further into something concrete and strange, rather than resolving into abstractions the reader already knows.
