Sunset

All the green and colorful hues of spring dance around us
as we move toward the hours of the night,
when they will finally hide in the fragrance of acacia blossoms.
With open eyes,  I want to sleep in the beauty of the world.

Neopoet AI [2026-06]

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet’s AI:

The closing line earns its place — the paradox of wanting to sleep with open eyes captures a genuine tension between presence and surrender, and it lands with quiet force. The acacia blossoms as a resting place for color and light is a tender and unexpected image that gives the poem its most distinctive moment.

The opening phrase "green and colorful hues" creates a small redundancy that slightly dulls the entrance: green is already a hue, and "colorful" does little work alongside it. A more precise sensory detail in that first line — something as specific as the acacia image — would give the poem a stronger foothold from the start, and make the journey toward that final paradox feel more fully earned.

When...

who or what [they] will finally hide in the fragrances of acacia blossoms?

Howdy, I'm Tink

I am intrigued by this piece. I enjoyed it, though I have to agree with Geezer, I questioned who was "they". I think with some well placed punctuation, and re-structure, this could be less confusing.

If you don't mind, I'd like to show you what I mean...

"All the bright, colorful hues of spring dance around us.
Then as night's darkness begins to surround you & I
And the tints finally hide in the fragrance of acacia blossoms,
It's with open eyes, I want to sleep in the beauty of the world."

and I would even go as far as to add "beside you" at the end. Though that may change your piece too much...

How does that read to you? Of Course, you are the creator of the piece and I mean no harm in trying to help tighten it, so please take from me what you can use and leave the rest. If you feel I overstepped, please forgive me. I mean no harm. Just here to help, and offer my opinion.

Heya

Thank you. I translated from macedonian and I use words hanging just in case you can play them in something else. Not you and I, but the colours.

But you did a great job!
