Smile

Smile like a sunrise
not like a clown

never let your smile
turn into a frown

for as frowning is quite hard
a smile is easy as pie

so lift your face, think
then look up at the sky

have joy in your heart
and you will never cry

About This Poem

Last Few Words: I wrote this poem one day because I was really happy. I had this giddy laughter fit the whole day and so I wrote about it as a way to tell my future self to wake up and smile.

Hello Viviana, your joy

Hello Viviana, your joy certainly comes through. I feel happy myself, despite some troubles my way.
I agree that it's more for children than for adults. My mother used to say "smile and the world smiles with you, cry and you cry alone."!
