Reading the Room

She was saying goodbye
with her blue and walk-away eyes.

It should have been clear
she was already gone.

It took me a while to get there.
It was just that my timing was bad.

Dear Michael,

I really like the brevity of this poem...it accentuates every word in every line. short and sweet. I would love to see works/thoughts of yours more often.

most fondly, Cat (the candlewitch)
