Patricia

A whisper of bone, a sudden descent,
The world tilted sideways, her strength almost spent.
A fall, a fracture, a body betrayed,
The doctor's grim words, a future unmade.

They pieced her together, with glue and with care,
A delicate puzzle, fragile and rare.
"You might not walk straight," the whispers did say,
But a fire within her refused to obey.

Slowly, she rose, with a will of her own,
Each step a small victory, a seed that was sown.
The pain lingered softly, a constant low hum,
But her spirit soared higher, her true strength to come.

Her back bears a bend, a testament told,
Of battles she weathered, stories of old.
It's not a flaw, but a curve in her road,
A map of resilience, a heavy load.

She walks with a tilt, a graceful incline,
Her gaze ever forward, her spirit divine.
For life doesn't break us, it sometimes just mends,
And shows us the power that always transcends.

Hello, Mark,
Such an inspiring woman and likewise, poem. I sense the admiration and regard. The words, "...not a flaw, but a curve in her road..." really stood out for me. Resilience and courage. And strong poetry to match.
Thank you!

Dear Mark,

this is a masterpiece, as far as I can see! It is plain to tell, the admiration you carry for this courageous woman. She is beautiful, physically and in attitude! The lines I liked best, are:

She walks with a tilt, a graceful incline,
Her gaze ever forward, her spirit divine.
For life doesn't break us, it sometimes just mends,
And shows us the power that always transcends.

How we fight these personal battles, defines us... exceptional poem, Mark

kudos and hugs, Cat
