Image Limerick

A little bird came and sat on down
Suddenly it had a sort of frown
On a clay sewer pipe
Next with its little might
Gifted the world a clover leaf crown.

Dearest Mark,

If you change one word to an "N" (the first letter in this line)

A little bird came and sat on down
Suddenly it had a sort of frown
On a clay sewer pipe
(Then with its little might)    instead of "then" use "Now"
Gifted the world a clover leaf crown.

reading vertically the first letter of each line would spell out A SONG! just a suggestion to think over.

much love, Cat

Yes!

That would be cool huh?  Not perfect cuz there would be a tense problem:

Now (present)

Gifted (past)

I think I'll keep it as is though unless there is another N word for Now.

Thanks Cat 💕

On another note:  We all need to keep in mind, for the time being, that the site is in Beta stage.

I hadn't noticed that the first four letters spell out song, a very clever limerick, we all need a little luck. Great job and good luck with the contest! If you have time please read mine!

LOL

Yes that would make Icing in the cake!

Is there another N word that is or could be made past tense, in the stead of Now?

Thanks Leslie,

Mark

I have...

been thumping my head in thought... would "Next" do it?

Hello Mark,

The word (nimbly) came to me. I wonder why... just a silly thought.

I really like this Acrostic Limerick.

Hello, Mark,

A tender observation poem, capturing a simple, brief moment.

Thank you!

Yes

Thank you Diane.  It is not a true Limerick but it comes pretty close. (close enough)

Perhaps I try to work on the rhythm in the future but making it acrostic was a job in itself (thanks to Caitlin)

Mike is a great photographer as well.
