If Time Listened To Me

Rewriting Memory

if time listened to me
I’d ask it to give me more time
so that all the happy memories feel strong longer
and last longer
to the point my soul would feel sublime

if time heard my reasons
then all the melancholic days would be a blast
everything sad would then be on the upside
with great vibes
making each moment better than the last

if time and I sat down and talked
I’d be more aware of each passing second
so that young me would hear my voice
and make a better choice
for the ones that I now regard and reckon

if time would just listen to me
every memory would be captured in art
for the sad ones and the good ones
for everything I was once
I carry them written in my heart

Dear Wally,

I like the way you have taken the concept of time and personified its existence! I also enjoyed reading what your conversation would be like... hopefully "Time" would listen to your request of intensity in the experience. Also prolong your enjoyment of each moment! A right ripping piece of work!

fondly, Cat
