06/26 Breaking News: I Have No Idea What I’m Doing

I have no idea

I have no idea what I’m doing

All my decisions

I’ve ever made

were logistics

Between my own

 feelings of joy and pain

Sometimes I have to forgive myself

Too be human is the  purity of mistakes

 life is a journey

A straight line of definitions

I  always search too find

Always hearing that echo

I no idea what I’m doing

A constant reminder

That perfection

 is the choice of lies

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet’s AI:

The poem's central idea has genuine emotional honesty behind it, and the closing image, that perfection is "the choice of lies," arrives with real compression and carries weight. The return to the opening phrase near the end also shows an instinct for structural echoing, which is a worthwhile technique.

The main area that needs attention is precision in the language. Several lines reach for meaning but settle for vagueness: "all my decisions were logistics between my own feelings of joy and pain" is grammatically awkward and the word "logistics" does not quite earn its place, since it promises something concrete but delivers nothing specific the reader can see or feel. Similarly, "a straight line of definitions" is abstract where the poem would benefit most from a grounded image or moment. Concrete detail, even a single sharp one, would give the reader something to hold onto and would make the emotional claims land harder. Revisiting each abstract noun and asking whether it can be replaced by an action, an object, or a scene would strengthen the poem considerably.
