Simple word complex meaning
One i cant seem to figure out
Ive tried dictionaries articles people videos
Answers are still nowhere
“People are weird”
I say almost 20 times a day
Not to make people think im different
Or smart
Or attention seeking
Its my best way of expressing that
I dont know what they are
Emotions
What even are they
I dont understand them
Or how to cope with them
I use them wrong
Express them badly
And assume them a lot
“Emotions are weird”
I say another 30 times a day
“I dont get people”
“Why are people like this”
“I dont understand”
That one inconvenient word does all the explaining i need
Or so i thought
People still think im joking
Or not being serious
But in fact its the thing im most serious about
People think they understand me but they dont
People think they an help but they cant
You see colour i see black and white
Your the sea im the sand
Your a sunny day im a raincloud
Your love im hate
Your normal im not
My thinking is logical simple
But the answer is not i fear i will never find it
I dont get people people dont get me
“Life is short make the most of it”
No life is long far too long infact
to long to live but to short to die
Speaking up is bad but keeping quiet is boring
Why talk when it might be inappropriate but you can get called boring or moody if you dont
Getting called a bore or asked if your ok if you dont but being called chatty annoying overbearing and rude if you do
I dont get people and i dont know weather people get me
They either overestimate or baby me
Either lightly tred or violently stomp
Try or give up
I dont know how to explain
You see these simple sentences arent for you to try and grasp what i think no
Because i myself do not know
This isnt for any purpose but for………………………………… i dont know

I like your poem because I understand it and sympathize with it...people ARE strange animals. they are (many of them) selfish, vain, self-absorbed Cruel and greedy! many of them don't care about others and go merrily along their way without a thought in their heads. most of them are judgemental and just plain don't care. but then... on the other hand...

you will find a rarity, someone who is, for the most part aware of the world and people around them. someone who cares I have found some of those people here. i think it is because poets are special . you have to be, to use words that tell a story and evoke emotions. IMHO poets are empathic. of course occasionally you will find a poet who is in it for the attention and the glory (cause it sure ain't for the money, LOL!)

you need to learn to use punctuation... otherwise you have a bunch of sentences running into each other. commas and periods and question marks and ellipses( three dots...) give us breaks and pauses in the work in question. please read this poem out loud. it should give you insight as to where these breaks should occur. (I do it all the time with my poetry and it helps me greatly.) I also write a lot of free verse poetry, sometimes you don't need punctuation with it sometimes you do depends upon the poem. I noticed you have a couple of really long lines that need to be shortened. find the natural breaks in them...read them aloud. take out that long string of dots close to the end of the piece, it just looks messy and unprofessional.

I like your poem as it has a lot of potential and I resonate with it. I hope I have helped you. that was my goal.
