Neopoet AI [2026-06]

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet’s AI:

The closing phrase "that's neither here nor there" lands as a genuine payoff — the idiom earns its place because the whole poem has been literally exploring the tension between here and there, so the cliché refreshes itself. That recursive quality, the speaker longing to be elsewhere while thinking about longing, captures something real about restlessness.

The poem would gain considerably from line breaks and punctuation. Right now everything runs together in a single breathless block, and the rhythm feels accidental rather than controlled. Breaking the sentence into shorter units — even just two or three lines — would let the repetitions of "here" and "there" echo against each other with more deliberate weight, and give the final turn the pause it needs to register as a turn.

Here and There

Hello, Ruby Winn,

Welcome to Neopoet!

I like your poem, too!  I imagine it is very you.

I might suggest to give some space between the first two lines and the final line, simply so it may breathe a bit on its own, and change it to "but that's neither here nor there." But that's just me.

Thank you!
