Genocide
In the land once serene, pigeons bombard,
Free words stumble, lost to the drain,
Childhood's innocence stolen,
By the relentless war machine.
Rivers of blood flow freely,
Agony paints the scene,
Where pain reigns supreme,
And death lurks, unbidden.
All witnessed in Gaza's plight,
A tragic tale of endless night.

Hello, Rula,
I've thought about you so many times through all of this, and now I feel closer to you by reading your poem. My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Gaza, and the once beautiful and serene land you've described.
Much love,
L

Hello dear Lavender
Thank you for reaching out to this piece after such a long time of abandoning writing. Too much is going on there in front of the cameras and behind the scene. I am not sure many are aware of how bad the situation is, and I know that no words are able to tell abt. it.
Just few words that I thought I'd scribble anyway.
Much appreciate it my friend.

Dear Rula,
I ache for the situation. It is so deep deep deeply disturbing! I actually get sick to my stomach when I think about it! Hang on beautiful lady!

Hi desert flower.
I hope this does not spill over into Jordan. I pray there will come a day when palestinian mothers love their children more than they hate Israel.
