Fantasies of February Fourteenth
Come-to-bed whispers in candlelight
soft music silenced by slight sighs
empty blushing champagne flutes
smooth dark chocolate lips
velvet warming silk
scattered stockings
legs engaged
breathless
heat

Truly A Fantasy
I love the form and the way each line brings the reader closer to the ultimate conclusion. The word choices bring each line to life in the mind's eye. A beautiful write.

Dear Lavender,
did you notice that you can also read this poem from bottom to top? I Love it! You have a pioneering soul!

Hello, Cat,
Ha, ha! I didn't realize that! I love this challenging form - 9 lines, 9 syllables in the first line and then syllable count decreases with each following line. I have read some nonet-style poems with word count, instead of syllables, and there is a reverse nonet. It's a fun challenge.
Thank you for reading!

Reminded me of a different time and place although I wouldn't want to relive it.
