Eeyore
You, my sad donkey with big cartoon eyes
Waiting patiently for me to finish my classes
It is evident you have been loved to all who see you
Your tail no longer sticks as well as it once did
And I know that you are quite attached to your tail
With its pink bow not quite as vibrant
And you are no longer as “stuffed”
Your head droops more than it did once before
And yet, I love you even more
Than when you were new
And every night when I crawl into bed
Whether the day had been good or bad
You are there for me to cuddle
Even if that means my tears soak into your fur
From heartbreak to homesickness
You, old friend are as loyal as you are gloomy

Yup!...
Nice little poem. We are not the kind of site that will tear you apart if you make a few typos or a couple of bad lines. We aim to help you become a better poet, not crush you. I like the mood, it fits the heartbreak of being alone away from home and in new circumstance. Nice. ~ Geezer.
