A common garden pest?

If elephants consume your plants
And devastate your lawn
Don’t run about or scream and shout
Just wait until they’ve gawn
For elephants are very large
And everybody knows
It really really hurts
Should they step upon your toes

of course you can just ignore

this impressive beast
until it sleeps
but then be woken wide in awe
by its stentorian snore

not up to your standard, but often your work just makes me want to join in,
love you man

John

Maybe one can lure them out with promises of fresh peanuts? Wonders secretly how great elephant droppings would be for fertilizing the garden.... =)

Wait till they've GAWN

And do they go, once they've started coming?
They have tiny eyes, its a wonder they can even see our toes!

Oh to have an elephant in my garden, being not pestered by these gentle giants for me it would be an honour, but I do understand how annoying it could be, making fun of them is a way of getting back at them without really hurting them!

You Hephalump please be gawn,
you're making big holes in my lawn
my trees are now pruned
my flowers have swooned
oh Hephalump please you be gawn.

Ann.
