Neopoet Around the World
A young girl sits at her laptop typing up "Poetry contests"
Her small heart beating as tears run down her face
She finds a website that seems different from the rest
A world where she can finally speak her mind
This 12 year old girl writes stories of mourning
filled with the pain the world has brought her
An innocent child telling her life story to strangers
All around the world writers help her giving her actual advice
This girl finds hope in a small poetry website and her writing helps heal her wounds
She uses this site to get out her emotions while learning of ways to get help
She grows up loving these strangers and sharing poems of her life
These people become friends and some like mothers listening to her day
She learns to care to help and to heal
Her poems slowly change
This girl who was sad now seems glad and she writes out all she's feeling
Writing for years this girl has changed for now she is 17
This girl is me and this site is you, all you beautiful poets
You changed my life and helped heal my strife now I'm going to live past my teens

About Me
About me
Hi! My name is Olivia. Vivi is my pen name. I'm a young poet who wants to improve my skills for my poetry book. I have written over 50 poems so far in my book, but I have written so many more in random notebooks and on napkins. I love to write poetry because it defines me. I write every feeling I feel and every thought I think, then turn it into a poem. I mostly write sad, or "in your face poems" but I do enjoy writing happy songs. I can't write the music for it though. I also love to draw. Poetry gives me inspiration for my art, and I will always write.
