Lifeboat
I Sit in the darkness
Pondering the shadows
loneliness creeps with every sigh
It’s not the want to die
Is this all I’ll ever be?
I want to fly
I yearn to break free
free to be without explaining
They say the truth will set you free
However it’s different when it’s me
I’ve shed many teary nights
I sit upon a weary light
I’m truly at a crossroads
Wandering through this lifeboat
Read the rest of the poem Show less
Praying to keep my spirit afloat
I yearn for my other half
oh how nothing ever lasts
The stars are my only friend
I truly just want this to end
