Reflections
Somewhere deep in the keep of your heart
a hidden chamber
you kept your love locked away
seldom letting it out to play
Every morning I wake with a song in my head
words and music
reminding me of things we did and said
before you went away
Reflections on the water
reflections in my mind
can’t yet fathom what’s in front of me
but see what’s been left behind
Dusk has settled in
the wind has become a gentle breeze
Read the rest of the poem Show less
pondering the times we had together
and all the love so sweet
This day has been like so many others
but now in twilight I remember
this is the day the Lord has made
and every breath a treasure
Something is telling me
you may not be far so far away
the dream I have may be coming together
so I’ll watch for you coming this way
Reflection in the mirror
recollections in my mind
remembering how we looked together
and all the times we tried
Night has settled in
the stars are shining bright
I pray the Lord is keeping you safe
and bringing you home to me tonight
