My Saving Sea
Great ocean of uncertainty
What secrets do you hold?
What wonders have you spoken of
What lies have you told?
We sail so far without a clue
Beyond your dazzling shore...
To leave behind our fears and doubts
Hoping we find more.
What can save our wayward souls
From what we used to be?
All we’ve found from sailing far
Is that it cannot be the sea.

"Chasing Stars..." by @Geezer
"Love this work, your word choice and style really speak to me. I love how it sounds like you're just writing down what you're thinking and then go back to fine-tune it. It makes the piece seem very authentic." - December 2019

"simplistic poem that resonates with honesty about your feelings. The title interested me and brought me in. The logic seems to be good throughout and brings one to the end smoothly. The only thing is, it makes one think…" -

"Love this poem, great language and word choice. I like the inconsistency in your rhyme 'pattern', it adds a unique character to the piece and makes it more intriguing. Great work!" -

"This is beautiful poem, I especially love your rhyme pattern and the lines "Perhaps she was dead some of them said" and "not daring to take chances instead". Maybe think about changing the word order of the line "they f…" -
