"not ready for structured poetry"!!!?????? You've heard structured poetry and recited it your whole life in the form of songs. One need not be an expert to start writing in any form. Just do it. This site is HERE for learning and how you gonna learn if you don't try? If it seems you've upset me , you have. I'm upset that anybody would think they have to become expert at something before trying it............well, I'm cooled down now but still encourage you to try new things........stan

Uhhh.....

You are aware that as far as imagery goes I'm pretty much self taught aren't you? But people tell me I'm fairly good at using it so I try once in a while to pass on what little I know. A round about way of saying I have read nothing which deals with imagery in poetry other than other people's poems....sorry
