Life
She comes like a breeze
Carrying the song of war
It is her destiny to live
Yet prays for death in her call
Her wounds wide open
Her eyes like an ocean
Her featherless wings
And her broken heart
The life of a human
So cruel yet fragile
Like shapes in the dark
She claws at your heart
As she begs for the end
Forgetting what is to be
Read the rest of the poem Show less
In the dark of her mind
She just wants to be free
Oh how it hurts to live
And how peaceful death seems
Her story grows old
Fated to repeat a million times
And she is swept away
By the storm within her
Made aware of the traitors
In her own mind’s counsel

"I like your piece, (it does what it says on the box) It maybe could benefit with a pruning of superfluous words? and perhaps omit the odd forced rhyme? Wha' do ya think? obi...... (did enjoy it)" -

"I really agree with you, especially with these two lines: "Just static white noise Its like drowning in sound" it is the worst at bed time, when trying to go to sleep. time has reduced it's noise. the only time I think…" -

About Me
I am a college student in surrey. I often use writing as a form of therapy, and for some reason, making them rhyme makes more sense to me that sentences. I have always loved reading, especially poetry as you can learn so much from just a single line of a poem. I have been writing for a very ling time but never had the courage to share my poems with anyone, not even my best friends, but over the years I have grown a little more confident about my writing and I want to share my journey with others.
