Star Spangled (The Emperor’s Clothes)
Suicide
Life in gilded poverty
Work or die
Isn’t that
Suicide?
Workers
Slaves to a billionaire class
Fodder for the meat grinders
Grease spots
on the teeth
of the cogwheels
And the corrupt machine turns faster
And the workers basic needs are ghostly vapor
And the swine feast
Read the rest of the poem Show less
and engage in pedophilia
and war crimes for sport…
So, the hammers swing,
and the waitress slings plates
for a slave wage,
and the bus driver
drops another kid off
to an empty house…
Capitalism
Fascism
Synonymous
Waking nightmares
Ruling the hearts of the working class
These nightmares have names
And addresses
This orchestrated
mass subjugation
is calculated
The architects of its design
eat family units for profit and then get together and brag about it
They are few
We are many
Their coffers and stomachs full
of the fruits of our labor
We starve and die of cancer
while our families
go destitute and watch
Fuck America
Fuck America
Racist empire
Imperialist war machine
Red, White and Blue lie
