Side blooming

And standing proud 
Under the sun

You take it all in 
The smells the sights
The sounds

Up above you can see
Though that the
Clouds are starting 
To move in

The wind picking up

The sounds are changing

The eerie look makes 
You run just a bit faster

Thump thump thump
You here your feet go 
Carrying you through this
Trail as it twists and turns

Up a slight hill
Downing another 
Into a valley 
The flowers you once

Could see

Now just a blur
As you race to beat 
This storm rolling in

But it’s too late
You still have a 
Half mile

The rain is now soaking you

Push push push
You tell yourself 
Lean into the anxiety 
And don’t quit

Running running running 
Faster now 
But the elements 
Are making it feel

Like you’re 
Pulling a 100 pound anchor

Your muscles throbbing 
Your breathing heavy 
Go go go go

Flash goes the lighting 
Boom goes the thunder 
It’s right on top of you

But you see the car 
And push the final bit 
Pulling out your keys 
And unlocking the door

You sit in the safety 
Trying to take deep breaths 
Slowing everything down
You lay back in the seat

You hear the rain
And the wind and thunder 
But you are safe
No harm coming for you

Breathe 
Breathe 
Breathe

All the chaos is
Melting away 
Shh just sit 
No schedule

You’ve run 
You’ve conquered

Peace 
Perfect peace
