The Second Life

Between the debris
and the slaughter
lies a rose

when man is dust
and God forgotten
a new god will be born

and the characters
of our dreams
hieroglyphs
of some bygone age

A gas mask
and a tank of air
eyes fire in the gloom

Angel in stone
decay
a future art

and children
a new dawn

in

fallout...

wow this poem really speaks to me. I feel like you're talking about the a world with no hope, no love.

Dark and Delightful!

I've always been a fan of dark poetry, and this one really measures up! You definitely have a gift!
