Call of the Sea

In the call of the sea I hear
the wail of her salted wounds
in the surf of her waves I feel
the joy of a  million dreams

On her shores I hear  a secret
whispered by a brewing breeze
"in her sands you'll find an Oyster
which bears her lustrous gem"

As I wade through her tepid waters
leaving foot prints in the sand
the sun takes a dip on the horizon
making way for the moon to rise

Each call of the sea does bring
fresh hope to a dawning day
in its ebb and flow I hear
a song of a million hearts ..

As I read I SO ENJOYED all this

Ann of Norway As I read I SO ENJOYED all this until I came to the last verse and wanted it to be better.."each call of the sea does bring" why does that seem out of context with the rest of the poem's subtlety? Please do something with that verse and then I shall see it again. LUVAnn
