I Place My Hand

I place my hand
Of delight
To yours
And touch my soul
Though you seem
Hesitant
To oblige.

Feel free
To scrape my fingers
Away
From your
Insulation.

So much said in so few words

So much said in so few words in this finely penned poem Dennis. Nice use of metaphor and imagery is vivid and detailed. I hope that in time, this someone so special came to trust the hand which so lovingly touched hers - the lack of trust denotes past heartache, which only true love can heal. Beautifully expressed Dennis, a privilege to read your wonderful work! Thank you so very much for sharing.
