Sulken

Sit huddled
knees drawn up
but the eyes
tell

how are the new shoes
how is the old soul
finding ground
in grounding
while your soul
soars

there is change in your
wallet and paper
currency in pockets

you ripple into smile
Chesire wide

and I have no idea
who I am to you
but

you do

“who I am to you” ~ no

"who I am to you" ~ no one knows. Another Esker poem for the heart's archives. Thank you. ~A "There is a kind of mysticism to writing." ~ Irvine Welsh

lol you know

I love reading your work. Sometimes though, it seems so intimate I almost feel as if I am intruding. Tho this poem is not as sensual as many of your others, to me, there is still an interaction, a plea, or request for some specific response from someone. Not saying that is bad, just I feel the voyeur! Lol I really like the feeling of being able to be at ease with this person, yet, still there is a mystery and unknowing. Very nice, as always, Tonya

watchers

for those that can see we are all and every book written we are voyeurs viewing for interest pleasure questions ads make us feel or draw us in to look queston ask why so we can feel something otherwise without that catylist there is nothing/ will be no purpose .. and we overlook so much assaulted with so much to read to see to view we are not studying handwriting here nor expressions as this medium does not show our faces in motion we have avatars what we have prepared our own personal favourites and yet so much can be read into these the right hand lift of the smile the seriousness of the eyes the head leveled and slightly down rather then tilted up brows kept rather then unkempt and never looking into the audience but away letting the viewer feeling viewing rather then viewed Love your comments Esker~

You are right… I get much

You are right… I get much from watching expression and I sometimes I just wish it was possible to see the face of the author as they would read their work. That does not mean we don’t still get a great depth of emotion from reading. I will remain the voyeur, because giving up reading and watching would be impossible. Well put. ~Tonya
