Nizam's Harem

(I read about the harem of the Nizam of Hyderabad and felt embarrassed.  So I write...)
A mockery, a ridiculous sound,
Caste off by near and dear.
Life now is devalued all around
Despise such women in fear.

No helping hand for them, the vine
The fragile movements useless.

There, in the harem of five hundred,
    Lives emotions unattended, frazzled.

Smacks of dictatorial and invisible commands.
The Nizam's harem heaves ever hustled
No inmate can be hussy, only piss, piss....

All possessed by the king and inherited,
Food and clothing and cosy bed.

Emotions stifled, hear hear the fart
The nauseating odour from the harem.

They live in Hyderabad unattended
Five hundred women of varying ages,

No eucuch, no jessie can enter there.
Even togarble the gradable emotions!

Women here ogle at each other, touch and kiss,
A messed up harem of constant grizzle.

Every harem of yore had such stories,
Of wanton kings who scrambled women.

U. K.,As far as the theme is

U. K., As far as the theme is concerned, it is an old one, and well repeated not the least for being heard again. People have been possessions of 'men', who cannot be caring humans, until they relinquish their human possessions with full obeisance to the wronged. Good consistency throughout your piece. You never strayed from scathing honesty and truth. I liked it. I wouldn't change a word. Victor

Dear U.K

It still boggles my mind that women are seen and treated like this ... and it varies country to country but there are men that see women as possessions and not people loved your poem bravo love JayCee (Quote~~"It is by universal misunderstanding that all agree. For if, by ill luck, people understood each other, they would never agree. "--Charles Baudelaire)
