Sound Of Dreams

Another broken dreamDarkens his world In front of the mirror He promises himself To give it all this time  All those around him Tell him it’s not worth it He tunes them out As he listens to the beat Of his wildest dream  Walking through swamps Surrounded by denial Still he is determinedTo take on anybody Or anything  His heart speeds Through red lights As his stomach Has tornados deepWithin The volume of his dreamsAmplifies in his headphonesAs he takes his passion To the finish line  He doesn’t look back Not for a secondHe laughs at those That told him To stop trying
