creation
in the imposed oneness of the last bird to fly
unopposed and limitless
we sought the sky in which our voices merged
and there a tenderness called
as sun and light approached creation
the dark veil between us lifted, its dawn
of eyes looked through us
and our wings were given flight
above the closed dust of lost eons
a dead sea
in the holy shroud of time
in the cracked fist of clay, the mountains opened
and in the speech of pines
the waterfalls descended
pouring into our spirits, what is yet imagined
through the black and hidden night
starless and unreasoning
unopposed and limitless
we sought the sky in which our voices merged
and there a tenderness called
as sun and light approached creation
the dark veil between us lifted, its dawn
of eyes looked through us
and our wings were given flight
above the closed dust of lost eons
a dead sea
in the holy shroud of time
in the cracked fist of clay, the mountains opened
and in the speech of pines
the waterfalls descended
pouring into our spirits, what is yet imagined
through the black and hidden night
starless and unreasoning
