BIG BANG

Most of the scientists agree
about how we came to be
it all began with a big bang
which rang the void with a huge clang

Everything which came to be
came from this one event you see
  planets, stars, and nebulae
  everything seen in the sky

From superhot expanding gasses
  came slowly condensing masses
  gravity pulled  masses together
like some kind of cosmic weather

In each huge universal eddy
galaxies formed when they were ready
  and in each galactic swirl
  stars accreted like a pearl

All of these thing taking place
at a slow and geologic pace
dust left from forming of the stars
became planets like Earth and Mars

On the tiny speck called Earth
  occurred supposed random birth
pure chance and chemistry formed life
and life evolved propelled by strife

After multi-million years of time
  evolved a species liking rhyme
all started by explosion way back when
resulting in the form of present men

The Big Bang Theory makes the news
I just wonder who lit the fuse?

I very intelligent poem I

I very intelligent poem I think. Down to the last line, which almost suggests you might let God in somewhere, leaving the door ajar for Him, "I wonder who lit the fuse" very clever. Only a few slight typos, or words I might alter slightly, instead of "Most the scientists agree" all you need say is "Most scientists agree" and in the fifteenth line I think you spelled "galactic" wrong, you put "galictic" otherwise a fine poem I think, thanks for sharing, john

Thank you for the read and comments.Seems the later my time slot is the more mistakes I make and am glad to have them pointed out.Entire premise of poem was to show that for all our knowledge we still don't have and never will be able to obtain all the answers via mere science.Door for god was left more than ajar I hope........scribbler

Brilliant Write

What a brilliant and thought-provoking poem. Great title and the language that you used. Everything fit great from beginning to end. BTW, the ending was wonderful! Love-Faith ~I never say anything I don't mean nor do I say anything to be mean.~

The BiG BanG

I too love the way you stated that something lit the fuse. This is just so great Stan. It kept me interested all the way, and like everyone said, the end is absolutely superb. Xena Quote: Science is what you know; philosophy is what you don't know. - Bertrand Russell

I've read that most scientists who support this theory are unwilling to rule out divine intervention as cause.thanks for read and comment......scribbler

A very indepth and finely

A very indepth and finely penned write dear Scribbler. No matter what theory we come up with, regarding how earth was created - God always enters into it and I love the last line of the poem, it is the icing on the poetic cake for me and ties the whole, finely expressed, poem together. I enjoyed reading this poem so very much and I thank you for so kindly sharing it. Blessings.....
