CRUSHED

Your black hair falls over the beginning and end of the weekend,

Softening it, shaping it,

Providing the frame for the tears,

That slide quietly between my skin and my skull,

Not disturbing anyone outside, only me, privately,

Within, your face etched with kohl, eyelashes and brownish-blue lips,

Reminds me that I am not happy,

With your face so far away behind me,

I am not happy,

I can only smile facing you and near your framing lips,

Giggling incantations in Arabic and French,

To collapse my lungs,

Under the massive weight of your surrounding depths.

Jorge

This is beautiful. I even cried. My favourite part is this: "Providing the frame for the tears, That slide quietly between my skin and my skull, Not disturbing anyone outside, only me, privately," With this poem you touched my heart. May you continue to see her face, and whisper incantations in her ear. Awesome work.

Wow Jorge

Fabulous. I wish someone would write something as beautiful as this for me. PS. I see you managed to submit it the way you want it, well done. Xena Quote: Science is what you know; philosophy is what you don't know. - Bertrand Russell

You're doing just fine Jorge

Take your time and just enjoy yourself, and remember there are plenty of people, including me, that will help you if you so wish. Xena Quote: Science is what you know; philosophy is what you don't know. - Bertrand Russell
