Bound within the Grace of Bethany

May a star be-speckled sky
be the road that lights your way,
as a comet's tail protects you
and surrounds you everyday

may the moons of ages past
cast a brilliance on your life
may motherearth hold the secrets
as your footsteps land on strife

I watched as you breached the void
between the veils I’ve yet to lift,
I first held your hand in friendship
and my heart was thrown adrift

So, in love with your first breath
that I had nothing left to fear,
see the one thing I always protect
is something I now hold dear

you're the strength that god sent down
to help me on my way,
my little smiling devil
and to thank the heavens I do pray

now my child of grace and love
shadows the face of the world
she is the reason I’m leaving
my paper-heart and love unfurled

this prayer and spirit is binding
to hold you on your way,
I love you my darling daughter
and will, forever and a day

Right now shes in Surfers Paradise ... Keep in mind I'm a classic(not classy)guy and you poem's rhyme and beat suggested classic form to me.here goes:either hyphenate or seperate mother earth,line 15:delete "see",line 20:thanking heavens why I pray,line 23:she's the reason that I'm leaving......so much for my suggestions and as always feel free to use or reject with no fear of hurt feelings.......scribbler

message for a child, and aren't all our children special? Be they boys or girls, I am sure that each one of your children are special in their own way. I know all three of my boys are. I just wanted to say, that they must be very proud to have such a special mother! In a world where there are so many mothers that don't care and think their children a just a burden, you shine. I have about fifty kids that over the years ive helped ... and they all call me mum lol not all little angels but they are all living better lives than when I met them ... natures veils

I was talking about Batman with a friend, she had never heard of the villianess Poison Ivy. I explained that she was a sensual botanist that used plant based poisons to kill with a kiss. My friend lit up and said well think of that, men use metal and all kinds of contraptions and explosions and that woman uses nature, true to her own femininity I liked her explanation and have been thinking about the 'collective feminine spirit' if that makes any sense. You describe nature here as a force, but not just any force, a force in motion and in full season. That is so true to a feminine identity, so many forces/emotions in place. combining your feelings toward your daughter with nature made this very significant for me.

lol must be the week for it I had a convo with a male friend though about woman and men and their prefered methods of destruction ... funny woman go al la natural and men go chemical and metal usually or lol my ex had guns and compound bows, knives etc spear... my sister and i were very close a few years back. we shared secrets, everything. i called her catepillar, she was right about to bloom. then one morning she came into my room crying. she told me she was having her first cycle and it scared her and i remember sharing that moment with her thinking she is growing older. she wanted to tell me first. i won't ever forget it. i wish we had a way to honor that. we get told how to manage it, but never that it is beautiful or a rite of passage. The Red Tent is a beautiful book, made me proud to be a woman. its based in biblical times when women were supposed to stay away from men when they had their periods in a tent only women could enter. the main character grows up to be a midwife, speaks volumes about birth, life cycles, and what it is to be female. i think you would enjoy reading it.
