Socrates Was Right
I like lookin' up to the sky
it puts me in my place
empties me out
and the thought of having a thought is laughable
Like:
does the universe, in toto, move?
if so, where does it move to?
and if it has a place to move to,
how big is THAT place it could move to
If it so choosed to?
tongue-tied,
and as giddy as giddiness gets,
my mind falls into
a deep well of D-U-M-B
dark as the inside of a cow
now,I'm really getting dizzy!
but,I still like lookin' up to the sky
even tho' I'll always know
that I'll only know
that I know
nothing!
it puts me in my place
empties me out
and the thought of having a thought is laughable
Like:
does the universe, in toto, move?
if so, where does it move to?
and if it has a place to move to,
how big is THAT place it could move to
If it so choosed to?
tongue-tied,
and as giddy as giddiness gets,
my mind falls into
a deep well of D-U-M-B
dark as the inside of a cow
now,I'm really getting dizzy!
but,I still like lookin' up to the sky
even tho' I'll always know
that I'll only know
that I know
nothing!
