NEON DREAMING
road tears at the soul
like windrash
rattles like tight tarp drum
flashs like tatoo ink
brilliant at the table
mingling with the labels
at the bar
poised on the sheet
headboard destiny
and a handfull of
lush swallow
pink toilets
pink tubs
cakes of cream
soap smelling
hard and cheap
sold like dollar condoms
in heavy metal display
go ahead and read
through the prophet
monger scrawl
rhymnes and ditties
and out on the floor
the dance hall
music throbs
its all stilletoes
and custom
stapled stitched
steroid and sated
the hot holiday for
pleasant pagentry
the knuckle grinding
tension
the ache that never
quite gets reached
but it may take a
treat
or trick
and the Neon sparkles
humping the night air
in garish celebration
keep it all close
trust few
always watch
the door
and have it ready on
the floor
