Dragon Breath

I wander through the land searching,
I seek dragons, and the beauty of their breath.
Their breath is like a light show dazzling our senses.

Just imagine the fun you could have,
Make friends with one of these fiery guys,
Think of the marshmallow roast.

I would love to bathe in the flowing stream,
The water warmed by the heat of the dragon's fire,
He would blow on to the chilling ripples.

Sleep will come easy, as I curl in his breast,
The air maded soothing by his snores,
I slumber underneath a cloud of smoke.

Weave World

Have you read "Weave World" by Clive Barker, there is a scene in the book when a woman and an insane cop that has been hunting for her, and the precious weave she cxarries (in which is hidden a world), is transformed into a dragon and a maiden hidden in a deep forrest. Then it seems that the maiden is more deadly than the dragon, then the maiden becomes the dragon and the dragon takes her place. There is a line in the book that says: "Nothing, that can be dreamed, need ever be lost" or something I like that. Its a wonderful book, I'm sure would appeal to you. nice poem, john

Dear Elizabeth

I watched and really enjoyed the film `Dragon Rider`, I don’t know if you’ve seen that one, a wee bit violent, but the dragon, a female, was wise, cute, and very kind. So I wouldn’t mind snuggling up to and feeling protected by a dragon. Xena Quote: Science is what you know; philosophy is what you don't know. - Bertrand Russell

Love this one!

I like the notion of dragons being friendly, and this line: "Think of the marshmallow roast" I find hilarious! One change I suggest is to stick to conditional for the last stanza, like: "Sleep would come easy, as I'd curl in his breast, The air made soothing by his snores, I'd slumber underneath a cloud of smoke." Also, I changed "maded" to "made". I have a thing for nice, gentle dragons. Antoine
