Sky Watch '10

my back and neck tends, to cause me to look down
so, i focus on the horizon;

I refuse to carry extra weight that surely would astound,
or suffer my indignation.

I'm trim, I'm lean, I'm a sleek design,
I'm guessing for longevity;

I'm not sure what the heavens had in mind,
soon I'll eat of the knowledge tree.

Aside from that, while walking along...
..just know, I see everything;

so I'm learning words to most all of the song,
providing oh, so many to sing.

Most of the times, my throat does get stuck
and my swallow stops short with each word;

with more to reveal, I can't blame it on luck
to believe that that's just, "crazy absurd".

After these times, it's hard to hold one's head....high;
and relax with the fireworks;

because lately I'd rather look down, and just cry...
..than to realize these political jerks;

so if after the summer, I'm still seen looking down,
I'm not purposely trying to be curt;

I'm just trying to hide my American Frown
because I've seen too much loss, and such "hurt".
