The Bride Has Many Veils
The bride has many veils
Which hide her true nature
The first is when men perceive
What is evil in what is pure
She dances not with iniquity
But with hidden grace
She is the soul in darkness
She is the mirror of a thousand dawns
She tests men with her tricks
And weeps when they fall
She is a spirit in the desert
Or the ruins of a city
The depths of the sea
The sanctuary of a lost saint
I am dark because I am unknown
I have been driven into the darkness...
Which hide her true nature
The first is when men perceive
What is evil in what is pure
She dances not with iniquity
But with hidden grace
She is the soul in darkness
She is the mirror of a thousand dawns
She tests men with her tricks
And weeps when they fall
She is a spirit in the desert
Or the ruins of a city
The depths of the sea
The sanctuary of a lost saint
I am dark because I am unknown
I have been driven into the darkness...
