Through the hardest times we face
and the laughter and the tears
Through the sadness when we lose one
with the pain of all our fears

Through the blazing flames of fire
and the shifting of the ash
Through the power of the waves
with the movement of the sand

Through the howling of the wind
and the wisp of gentle breeze
Through the racing hands of time
with the slowing of our years

I Love you

with all the mystery, a life can construe

This was the only style of poetry I wrote at one stage but then the world became my oyster here at Neopoet where I live there isnt a great library we have a library LOL but its not as extensive as the city ones this was one of the first poems I submitted here decided to finish it off with one last edit I cant see anymore I can do with it and to be honest I want to keep it raw as a reminder of how far ive actually come in words thanks for the kind comment its appreciated love JayCee (Quote~~"It is by universal misunderstanding that all agree. Just dipped in for a quick visit and found this ...strange how it is an old style and yet I see some of the 'new' poet in its style also. There was one line that stuck a bit with me because of its rhyming form Through the blazing flames of fire and the shifting of the ash Through the power of the waves with the movement of the sand I want this to rhyme and it doesn't and although I see the connection between ash and sand ...the words struggle for me damn it woman you've fought it for months and here I am saying ....I want it to rhyme!!!!!the world has gone crazy my friend. O.k. tell me why have you written it this way, help me understand it better. Seabhac

Sorry, didn't mean to get you all fired up, while you should be lying down. If I remembered all the things I wanted to say, and/or write, I would never sleep. i do know what you mean though.
