Your thought

 I look at your Picture.
I think about what you were thinking.
Was it about your car,
Job,
Or the love of your life.
A snap shot of the past,
Can tell the story of your life.
Who is she.
The one you think about.
Day and night.

Hello

I read this once, and thought "This is nothing special." I read it again, and said to myself "Now wait a second." I have read your poem through 5 times now. Very subtle. Very powerful. The images are nothing special. Vivid, but rather ordinary. The way you put everything together in a way that cries out emotional angst is not ordinary at all. Looking at that picture and thinking about what he is thinking about in the picture...and the implications of how much the writer cares about what he is thinking about. And how much she cares about him. And how jealous she is of who he is thinking about. And the utter certainty that he is thinking about her. And that he is obsessed with her. As obsessed as the author is with him. I could go on, but my point is this: you have taken a simple string of words and put them together to make much, much more than those words and their meanings. The implications, the unsaid contents, the tacit emotion:- This is what poetry is. This is what good poetry is. 5 stars. Nominated. Keep writing. Seven times read now, and bookmarked. The most private thoughts...

the ones no one else seems to care about, are often the most interesting ones. We all have them, but rarely put them into voice, or write them down. A very introspective poem. ~ Geezer P.S. Thanks for wanting to be my buddy. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
