we do not write about

we do not write about
what we do not know
the so-called visionaries
in a frantic world
savoring chances taken
mourning lost opportunities
advancing with unmatched passion
a mere reflection of our double-life

we do not write about
what we do not know
but of the esoteric
world inside our heads
of displaced bullets
or the bothersome sometimes
bull-headed black holes in our souls

we do not write about
what we do not know
but of pain and suffering
or pleasure (possibly pure ecstacy)
and sometimes someone listens
to the stirrings of our souls

Can we,

ever truly free ourselves from what we have, and take a step into the unknown. I can't answer that, so your poem will have me thinking for a while. If we write about what we imagine, is this real progress i think yes. People who imagine a better world, normally strive for it. And in some cases change their world. See i told you it would have me thinking. Great poem Regards Roscoe..

My only crit

Would be about adding punctuation. Other than that I think that its quite a striking write. The unknown is always a topic of interest for me. Constantly questioning, the meaningless violence, contempt for human life and emotion, the difficulty in showing emotion, finding passion and compassion. I think that its a really good topic.

I no Know Nothing! So therefore I know?

Last time I wrote about the unknown, somebody else already knew it *L* For The Dreamers have all upped and died, and the Three men that I had admired the most had packed their bags and left for the Holy coast. Donnie/Sinbad Nice job, you start writing about the unknown, and the men with that white coat, will start strapping ya in. They are out there! They, they are every where. Bye Bye American Pie.

Yes, this is the poem to mark all words shattering the concepts that hold our worlds together. Well done! ~A The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of the Conservatives is to prevent the mistakes from being corrected. G.K. Chesteron
