Philandering Philosophy

                Philandering Philosophy

                Ignoring this, you conquer that,
                forsaking endless trouble
                fantasies of where it's at
                no longer burst your bubble

To say you're here procludes the fact
                that you were never there
                keeping all your faith intact
                with when instead of where

I may look you in the eye
and think your soul is dead
                a crashing social butterfly
                with blood upon his head

but often is gets used by was
                and even more than this
                rules get broken just because
                of Fate's untimely kiss

I may not think the same as you
nor you the same as me
but even so we journey through
                a common misery

Life is nothing more than dream
and death no more than sleep
                awaken with your primal scream,
                you've promises to keep!

Another superb write

Reading aloud the rhythm is perfect, the theme is very well done and it is just simply superb. Respectfully, Rett: “Anyone who sacrifices liberty for security deserves neither.” Benjamin Franklin

Superb!

Deeply thought-provoking and funny at the same time! my favourite part is: " I may not think the same as you nor you the same as me but even so we journey through a common misery" I wanted to find out the exact meaning or meanings of "proclude" even though I can guess by the context, I tried two online dictionaries but they don't have it! Can anyone recommend good one? Antoine

I couldn't help but think of the mad hatter while reading this poem something about the way it is worded. As an example the second stanza illustrates what I mean. Question did you perhaps mean preclude? I'd vote another spotlight but it is against guidelines so 10 stars and spotlight x2 love ya Me
