A Poem For You

For the first time in a long time,
I opened up,
I smiled.
Saying things i never thought I would.
You seem so sweet.
But who are you really.
Are you just a guy out to hurt,
Or the guy out to save me from pain.
I know we just met,
Has this happened before.
We talk as if we know each other,
As if it was for many years.
Talk to me again,
It makes me feel alive.
Like i can Fly.

Beautiful!

I hope it's a true story and it works out! I think it's important to express your doubts as they occur, that way they can be worked out right away. This part is my favourite: "I know we just met, Has this happened before. We talk as if we know each other, As if it was for many years." That's a magical feeling, I don't feel that way often but when I do it's the greatest feeling ever. Line 4 and the last line could use a cap on "I". Also, to avoid repetition, I suggest "Or the man who will save me from pain." on line 8. Antoine

There is nothing...

to compare to the connecting of two people. Even if it isn't a romantic liasion. Just the thought that there is someone who connects with the thoughts and emotions I have, makes this world a little friendlier. Keep writing, you have such ease of being able to share yourself with the rest of the world. Great work! ~ Geezer
