When you walked in

When you walked in,
My stomach dropped,
Heart flew like a million butterflies.
I remember the day we met.
You wore only shorts,
and had the whitest feet i had ever seen.
I smiled at you.
You smiled back.
Wanting to get to know all of you,
from your name to your touch.
Age has stopped us from being together.
But age is just a number.
You are the one for me.
I want your good,
Your bad,
Your Everything.
I will wait for you .
Wait until death comes upon me.

I like that...

...you say age is just a number, the number means nothing when you are in love. It's the person, their face, their touch, their smile, their everything...but for me, the eyes tell me everything, if I can be stopped in my tracks by their eyes, well I'm caught, hook line and sinker. This poem is wonderful and reminds us all that love is not kept within the boundaries of age. Great write. A bit disturbing

beautifully, livingly written, as I have come to expect of you, but consider the content. A kind of hopeless romanticism. Age does matter, we are social creatures and contravening social conventions causes great pain. Romantically lovely, but does the poem consider the consequences? I am not moralising, just suggesting a social context, ok? Cheers, Jess, Reprehensibly irrepressible,

Thank you JESS

i feel different about the age thing. in a way it is just a number but then i do look at the harder points in life of being with someone older than me <3 Sinthya <3 "Live life each day to the fullest'. 'You never know when it will end."
