A Low Down, Dirty Shame

There's plenty of hocus focus,
a sufficient quantity, that'll go all around;

generousity seems rather quite bogus,
were you ever famous, when you were a clown?

We'll, I've got my own set of truffles,
though, they're buried not, under a tree;

to find them,one must use different muscles
should your body relent, and sign the decree.

And just pay ol' Codger no nevermind,
that man behind the curtain, so red;

he almost assuredly is never kind,
he perpetually broods over something, once said.

Altogether, I simply ceased labeling them,
through their actions, I'll read of their  "trends";

I prefer not to get in too deep, with them...
..I can't stand suffering from the "bends".

For now, I'm just comfortable as the "watcher",
taking risks, taking notes, and taking bribes;

my current stance resembles that of a "croucher",
because keeping low, affords a much safer "vibe".
