Finally Home

Her weary heartThrows flares Into the night skyHoping to be rescued  In her hides a secret That brings tears to eyesBeautiful angel with A smile that eases A troubled man’s mind  Every night she recited prayers The type that make heavenly angelsBeg the lord to give her peace  She was a diamond in the sand A queen that needs no throne A saint amongst sinners  In her worst of days She has a faith  That moves mountains  Life had her on a course with no return policy Death was inevitable Still she smiled Even as she breathedHer last breath From above She smiles knowing That she is finally home

Paul, This Is Beautiful

This poem has depth and is very beautifully written. I especially like the last line. Great poem, Paul. ~I never say anything I don't mean nor do I say anything to be mean.~

this is very beautiful

it reads so gently, yet so powerfully esker used the word 'mature' which is a word i usually avoid as it more often sounds supercillious - but it fits here - the language cannot be faulted. got my vote too love judy xxxx http://www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/TwentyMyPrettyPonies.html
