The Weep

Pearls splash black in tea

Dampen trembling note in hands

Crystals drop sadly

Seep, stain thirsty earth’s parchment

Tears falling outside and in

About This Poem

About the Author

Region, Country: Western Australia, AUS

Favorite Poets: Favourite poets? So many, so varied. I like particular songs, not necessarily the singer... and the same goes for poetry. I can honestly say though, that Alfred Noyes' The Highwayman was what inspired my love of poetry - my mother began reading it to me when I was still a baby, and it became my favourite bedtime story

Nice Judy

I don't know much about this kind of form, but it sure sounds good to me.... "Tears falling outside in". Does it for me this line alone. Xena Quote: Science is what you know; philosophy is what you don't know. - Bertrand Russell

thanks everybody

scribbler senryu apparently deals with social situations - usually in a satirical way i think and hiaku deals with nature however, i thought this was tanka with the extra lines - who knows really. thanks everyone for reading and commenting i haven't been well lately - a bit of a head cold - so i haven't been here much doing as much reading as usual. just climbed on now to put one last poem on for the competition. i will catch up with you all soon. love judy xxxx http://www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/TwentyMyPrettyPonies.html
